"The motivation behind this work is to provide natural, traditional, homemade food products without any preservatives, artificial colours, flavours, sweeteners and harmful chemicals - because as a new mother I struggled a lot to find healthy food options for my kids. I strongly believe women's knowledge of healthy traditional food should pass on to the next generations. Fake food is doing huge amounts of damage to our health and there is no substitute for real natural food."
We use naturally and locally grown cereals, millets, pulses, sesame seeds, flax seeds and spices like Jeera, Ajwain, coriander seeds, and methi dana
We buy dry fruits, spices like cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, ahleev, deel seeds, and so on always after ensuring good quality
For laddus, we prefer to use either desi cow ghee or homemade ghee made from buffalo's butter
We use natural jaggery instead of sugar for making products like Ragi - Moong dal laddus and Mahua laddus. For others, we use rock sugar instead (khandsari or of Madhur brand depending on availability)
Our products are made under proper hygienic conditions, and we don't use any preservatives, artificial colour, flavour or stabilizer. We make small batches to always help you feed fresh just like homemade
We avoid aluminum and non-stick utensils wherever possible, and instead use iron and steel utensils
We preserve grains throughout the year by implementing traditional methods like using neem leaves, castor oil, rock salt, and by frequent sun drying
